Donations for Haiti

World Thinking Day is Friday, March 26th from 6 – 8 pm at Columbia Middle School Cafeteria. Troop 40257 will be collecting items of need for the people of Haiti. Even if you are not participating, you can stop by to donate items that night or bring them to 34 Bristol Court through next Wed. March 31st. Please share this with your troops.

Goods will be dropped off to an organization in Newark named United Community Corporation, who will in turn, send them to Haiti. Their website is http://www.unitedcommunitycorporation.org/donate.html.

ITEMS NEEDED: blankets, sheets, towels, throw pillows (they are homeless and carrying all they own so smaller pillows would be easier), new or gently used clothing for a very warm climate, new underwear, sleeping bags and even TENTS if people are willing to donate them. Bottled water, canned food, baby formula, diapers, wipes, acetaminophen and/or ibuprofen, aspirin, neosporin and tampax.
