Minutes of Service Unit Meeting, May 6, 2010

Our incoming Service Unit Manager, Deb Knapp, welcomed everyone to the last SUM of the year. GSHNJ Field Executive, Diane Marino, was also present, and told everyone that summer camp at the Oval is filling up fast, although there are still some openings. She also reminded us that the Volunteer forms must be returned to council as soon as possible.

The Service Unit Team for next year still has some empty positions. We need volunteers for the jobs of Registrar and Secretary, as well as troops willing to run the Mitten Tree (shadow in 2010, and organize it in 2011), Buehler Challenger trip (6th grade), Teddy Bear Tea (5th grade or older), World Thinking Day, and the Girl Scout Birthday roller skating party. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Deb Knapp.

Our Silver and Gold Award recognition will be held in September, instead of June. This will give the girls more time to finish up their projects.

The date for the End-Of-Year Leader's party has been changed and the date will be announced

Diane Marino assured us that we will be able to register for next year sometime in June. Details will be announced as soon as they are available from Council.
