• Background checks/VMS - All mom/dad who has contact with the girls and is treasurer must have a VMS done. The forms are online. It must be done every 3 years. It is on the GSHNJ website under "volunteers"
• 100th Anniversary Bridging - November 13th, 2011 from 8am - 10am; there will be a celebration and the girls will be walking over the GWB and Ben Franklin Bridge. Register at www.girlscouts100nj.org , $50 per participant, first come first served.
2. Council Update - Diane Marino (Field Executive GSHNJ) 908-725-1721 - dmarino@gshnj.org - North Branch Office
   Trip forms- if a dad drives, he must have a female adult in the car if there are any other girls in the car besides his own daughter.
3. New Troop Update - Barb Smith
   Had trouble getting the flyers out, so we have not been able to get them out to the town, we are looking for ideas on where to generate more places to pass out the flyers, let Debbie know 3 new troops have been formed.
4. Registration Update - Elizabeth Kane
   There are still troops not registered. There are 30 troops registered. If you are not registered, you cannot meet or sell nuts/candy.
5. Fall Product Sale - Nut, Candy and Magazine sale began Oct.1st - Linda Haines
   Sale started on the first of October. All of the nut styles are the same and the makers are the same. There is one new candy in honor of the 100th.
6. Annual Family Campaign (Troop packets will be available) - Debbie Knapp
   If they gave it at registration, that is the donations.
7. BHGS Events
• Mitten Tree - Saturday, Dec 3rd
  Same day as the town tree lighting, they bring a knitted item and canned good. It is a good activity for troops going for a bronze award.
• Daisy Teddy Bear Tea - Saturday, Jan 7th - Stephanie Zecca
  It will be open to all Daisys.
• 6th Grade Buehler Challenger Trip - Jan. 27th and/or Feb.3rd - Stephanie Henderson
  Open to 6th graders. It is an overnight and the girls do activities related to Space.
• Encampment - Feb. 24 - 26th 2011 - Margaret Illis
  4th grade and up, cabin camping only. You need your own leader and camping certified person.
• Mommy and Me Camping - March 10 - 11th (K - 3rd grade) - Susan O'Donnell
  (Troops 40315 and 40242 -- Stephanie Skidmore)
  Open to K-3 graders. No day trip to Hoover like last year.
• Girl Scout Birthday Roller-skating Party - date TBA - Troop 848- March 2012
• Someone Special and Me Dance - Date TBD

   The winner is Amanda Skidmore! She and her troop will be getting free shirts.
